Aldi’s 2020 Christmas range includes star-studded line up of award-winning Scottish produce


From Specially Selected Aberdeen Angus Steak to Chilli & Ginger Infused Scottish Salmon, Aldi’s 2020 Christmas range includes a star-studded line up of award-winning Scottish produce. 

2020 has been a triumph for Aldi’s Scottish food and drink range, achieving 24 accolades from a variety of renowned Scottish and UK food and drinks awards, which celebrate outstanding quality of local supermarket produce. 

The festive period is the perfect time for customers across Scotland to enjoy some of Aldi’s best local produce famed for its quality and value.  Both recognised at the Quality Food Awards 2020, Aldi’s melt in the middle Ham Hough and Cheddar Croquettes (£1.49, 252g) and Haggis Truffles with Peppercorn Sauce (£2.69, 500g) are the perfect accompaniment or starter to have with any Christmas meal. 

Also achieving top spots at this year’s Quality Food Awards, Aldi’s Chilli & Ginger infused Salmon Fillets (£2.99, 220g), or why not fully indulge with Specially Selected Scottish Wild Venison Steaks (£4.49, 250g) a stand out winner at the awards. a delicious Christmas lunch alternative to the traditional turkey and stuffing,

Three Scottish gins achieved success at this year’s Scottish Gin Awards, including McQueen Toradh Rhubarb and Ginger Gin (70cl, £14.99, 37.5%), which won the gold award in the Fruit Flavour Gin of the year category.  The Old Curiosity created Eidyn Gin (£19.99, 70cl, 40% ABV) scooped Silver in London Dry Gin category with McQueen Pink Gin (£15.99 70cl, 37.5% ABV) also scooping Silver for Flavoured Gin of the Year.
