Ann Summers CEO, Jacqueline Gold, will deliver a keynote speech at the 2012 Catalyst Europe Conference, organised by e-commerce platform provider, ChannelAdvisor.
The two-day event takes place in London, 28-29 May 2012.
According to ChannelAdvisor, it will feature representatives from eBay, Amazon, Facebook and LivingSocial; plus well known high street brands.
Alongside Gold, Miriam Lahage, head of fashion brand, eBay; Gavin Sathianathan, head of commerce partnerships, Facebook; and Peter Briffett, managing director UK, Ireland & Netherlands, LivingSocial, will present.
“NewCommerce is a term coined by ChannelAdvisor to describe the convergence of e-commerce with local, mobile and social advancements, as well as cross-border trade, all of which create an ‘anytime, anywhere’ level of accessibility for shoppers,” said ChannelAdvisor president and COO David Spitz.
“This year we’re raising the bar to encourage a deeper examination of commerce as a whole and the latest industry developments. Attending this show is a must for anyone serious about getting ahead in the retail industry.”
ChannelAdvisor said the event will examine the recent trends, from social media platforms to internationalisation, widespread tablet adoption and new smart phone capabilities. During the conference retailers will receive guidance in converting these new methods into an integrated strategy to strengthen existing commerce channels and present new opportunities for growth, the company said.
The first day of the event will include a series of workshops, providing practical tips to immediately apply to an online business. E-commerce consultants, industry experts and key marketplaces will run over 20 workshops throughout the day, focused on practical and strategic topics for online retailers, said ChannelAdvisor.
