Asda TV expert, Michael Arnott, said: “People are becoming far more conscious of the TV as a piece of furniture. Long gone are the days of a big ugly box and many homes contain several TVs. We’ve seen a huge interest in these new products and hope to expand our offering in the coming months.

“With our range of budget friendly, high quality TVs, everybody can afford to have a white Christmas if they want it.”

If white isn’t your thing, Asda is also offering customers the chance to pick up a bright pink set for £79. The Polaroid model comes with a 15.6in LED screen and remote control.

All of these TVs, plus the rest of Asda’s extensive electrical range can be found online at www.direct.asda.com or in larger Asda stores.
