Asda turns digital in supermarket loyalty war with Eagle Eye and Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions


Eagle Eye, a leading UK provider of digital consumer engagement solutions to the retail and hospitality industries, is delighted to announce that the company, as a sub-contractor of Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions, will undertake certain services in relation to a minimum two year contract for the deployment of the Eagle Eye AIR platform within Asda stores in the UK. The innovative platform integrates with existing ASDA-Walmart POS solutions in Asda stores.

This contract, for the digital counting and reconciliation of own brand and supplier brand coupons at point of sale across the Asda estate, will eliminate the existing requirement for the manual reconciliation of paper vouchers and improve fraud prevention and operational efficiency. The contract will enable the real-time issuance and redemption of coupons and vouchers for Asda-specific campaigns.

The deployment of the Eagle Eye platform comes after a one year development period. The production contract will contribute material revenue to Eagle Eye over the term of the minimum contract period.
