Award-winning retailer Dee Sedani has switched his second shop across to One Stop Franchise, following the success of his original Matlock store since June of this year.

The former Londis retailer’s store on Main Street, Etwall in Derbyshire has been trading from the same site for the last 13 years. Following the completion of its refit, the store re-opened on 12 December and held a launch day the following day. The local community came in their droves to support the activity, which included carol singers, face painting, hot food, mince pies and a colouring competition.

Sedani said: “Before I moved the Matlock store to One Stop Franchise, I was confident that it would prove to be the right decision for my business. Even so, I was pleasantly surprised at just how good the operation is and what a difference it’s made to my staff and the local community. Sales are up, the store is run more efficiently and the feedback from my customers has been incredible. When it came to considering the options for my Etwall store, it really was a no-brainer. I can’t wait for the Etwall community to benefit in the same way. It’s early days, but we’ve already had great comments about the extended choice in chilled and the cheaper prices and better range overall.”

Sedani recently celebrated a double awards win within the space of a week, the first ever awards scooped by the One Stop Franchise team. The first success was winning the Innovation Award at the Asian Trader Awards on 19 November, closely followed by winning the Environmental Sustainability Award at the Independent Achievers’ Academy (IAA) awards just a week later.
