Beef Jerky brand Jack Link’s announces upcoming participation at annual gaming festival, Insomnia

Jack Link’s, the UK’s biggest Beef Jerky brand, is expanding its presence in the gaming sphere, announcing its upcoming participation at leading annual gaming festival, Insomnia.

The Insomnia Gaming Festival was originally founded in 1999 as a small LAN event in Birmingham. Now, one of the leading annual gaming festivals in the UK, the event amasses over 40,000 game enthusiasts in one location for a weekend of non-stop gaming.

The gaming market is thriving, with over 329.5 million EU gamers in 20211, and of the largest gaming markets, the UK takes the top spot, with over 46.7 million avid gamers.2

Jack Link’s previously announced its seven-figure investment in the E-sports platform, and are now expanding into the gaming market in a bid to attract gamers as one of its core target groups. And with its first live event in over two years since the onset of the pandemic, Insomnia is a prime platform for Jack Link’s to expand its involvement in the gaming category further.

Located at the marketplace within i68, attendees can visit the Jack Link’s stand to partake in a sweepstake, win a selection of Jack Link’s and Fnatic branded prizes, take pictures in front of the dedicated back drops, and receive free samples of its staple Beef Jerky.

With the brand’s continued partnerships with leading UK-based E-sports franchise Fnatic, and tournaments such as the European Masters, Jack Link’s is dedicated to connecting with fans and players, establishing itself as the primary protein snack for gamers, enabling them to power through their gaming sessions without compromising on taste or nutrition.

Laura Trivulzio, Marketing Director at Jack Link’s EMEA says, “Jack Link’s range of meat snacks are packed with protein and low in calories, helping to fuel gamers through their extensive hours of gaming.

“Broadening our presence at key gaming events such as Insomnia will help to build brand awareness and drive trial of the range, maintaining Jack Link’s position as the optimum, high-protein snack for gamers”.
