Blakemore Trade Partners has appointed Sarah Ellis to new position of marketing director.
Ellis joined Blakemore Trade Partners as head of marketing in March 2014 and over the past two years has been responsible for delivering a marketing strategy to help drive footfall and basket spend for retailers across Spar UK’s Meridian & Welsh Guild.
Alongside the development of a new business-to-business multi-channel marketing strategy and the launch of a retailer marketing club, Ellis has created a bespoke local area marketing programme enabling retailers to work with the marketing team to develop, launch and manage campaigns that reflect the individual needs of their store and the community that they serve.
Blakemore Trade Partners managing director, Jerry Marwood, said “Sarah has made a great contribution to the company since joining and has built a team that supports the local marketing needs of Spar’s Meridian & Welsh Guild retailers across all channels, from the traditional, such as store launches and leaflets, to the more innovative use of social media.

In her new role Ellis will continue to focus on the opportunities that the digital channel can provide, the growth of the award-winning Spar brand and the embedding of Blakemore Trade Partners’ marketing proposition across the business.
