Blakemore Trade Partners reports it is going from strength to strength with retailer recruitment and has welcomed three new multiple-site forecourt retailers to its estate since August.
Between them, forecourt retailers Raj Odedra, Lawrence Wells and Christian Watts have re-launched nine stores under the Spar fascia with Blakemore Trade Partners over the last four months.
Odedra, who moved his three stores in Cambridgeshire to the Spar symbol group in August, said: “As an independent retailer I operate in an increasingly competitive environment, and in order to grow and develop my business I need to partner with a company with a strong strategic vision who not only understand where my business is today but have a roadmap for the future.”
Wells, who re-launched three stores with Blakemore Trade Partners in September, said: “I joined Blakemore Trade Partners because of the support they could offer me to help grow my business, which was lacking prior. I am confident that Blakemore Trade Partners’ forecourt knowledge and expertise will help drive my business forwards.”
Blakemore Trade Partners development director, Louis Drake, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Raj, Lawrence and Christian to our stores estate. Blakemore Trade Partners has enjoyed a successful few months for retailer recruitment, welcoming 58 new stores since May.
“We’ve already revised our inbound recruitment target upwards due to the hugely successful start to the year, and with an ever expanding pipeline of retailers wanting to join, recruitment shows no sign of slowing down.”
Blakemore Trade Partners managing director, Jerry Marwood, said: “Our success in recruiting new retailers demonstrates how highly Blakemore Trade Partners is regarded for helping independent retailers to develop their businesses.
“Our innovative new store formats, flexible partnership approach and breadth of services, in addition to the leading Spar brand name, mean that we have a very strong proposition for retailers.”
