Bolton North East MP in flavour heaven on Fazilas factory tour

Bolton North East MP Mark Logan found himself in flavour heaven when he visited Fazila Foods on a factory tour.

Logan MP enjoyed a tour of the factory floor and during the visit met founder Fazila Malek and Andrew Barnes, trading director of James Hall & Co. Ltd.

From its manufacturing hub in The Valley, Bolton, Fazila Foods develops and creates a modern selection of delicious Halal foods, ranging from traditional Asian cuisine through to contemporary fusion snacks and ready meals.

Mr Logan MP learned about the company’s heritage from home cook, to entrepreneur enterprise and now leading manufacturer with some 60 staff and a 15,580 sq. ft. production facility.

He also turned his hand to making spring rolls on the production line and had the opportunity to savour the flavour of some tasty Fazilas favourites as well as taking away a packed lunch of products that can be found in SPAR stores across the North of England.

Logan MP said: “What an honour to get inside the factory of one of Bolton’s tastiest food suppliers.

“After trying my hand on the production line I was quick to realise that the skilled workforce at Fazila Foods have their work cut out!

“From home cook to leading Halal manufacturer, the company is now planning a big expansion – this Bolton business is going exciting places!

“I can’t wait to see one of Bolton’s biggest brands stocked in even more places across the UK and overseas markets.

“Thank you to Fazila herself and the team at James Hall & Co. Ltd for such kind hospitality.”

Fazila Malek said: “We were delighted to welcome Mark Logan MP to Fazila Foods and have the chance to showcase the business to him with our visions for the future.

“We are proud of the progress Fazila Foods has made since it became part of the James Hall Group of Companies and it is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team that it is now a market leader for the production of high quality Asian cuisine.”
