Northern food and drink retailer Booths has launched its 2014 Christmas Book and, for the first time, the range of Christmas food and drink featured in the Booths Book will be available to order nationwide.
With just 29 stores across Cumbria, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester, Booths has always been a ‘northern secret’ but this Christmas the retailer will be delivering its secrets to the nation.
Booths said it prides itself on the quality of its food and drink and develops long, strong relationships with the best local suppliers, which means customers across the country can now order the very best food and drink from the North West and further afield, made with care, integrity and pride.
Products range from Morecambe Bay Potted Shrimps, renowned for their sweet, seaside flavour and sourced from the shallow waters of Morecambe Bay, shelled, and cooked in creamy local butter and aromatic spices, to joints of rich, sweet and succulent Herdwick mutton, a rare and hardy sheep bred by Cumbrian hill farmers.
The Booths Christmas Book showcases a range of tasty products from the traditional turkey with all the trimmings to Reg Johnson’s Goosnargh Goose from Lancashire, which adorns the menus of Michelin-starred restaurants, venison and wild boar from Nigel Sampson from Holme Farm in North Yorkshire, and dry aged beef bred exclusively for Booths by National Trust tenant farmers in the North West.
Edwin Booth, chairman of Booths, said: “My family always looks forward to being together for the Christmas holiday and we will be amongst the first to place an order for our seasonal favourites. Not only does our range look good but it tastes good too and our buyers have worked hard to secure supplies of the finest produce. Many of the goods you will find in our book are exclusive to Booths.
“For the first time we are making our Christmas range available throughout the United Kingdom so that customers from far and wide can share fabulous food and drink with friends and family and discover why Booths is one of the nation’s best kept secrets.”
The book contains recipes and recommendations to make a delicious and memorable Christmas, covering everything from the main event, to making the most of leftovers, to perfect parties, said Booths. It contains ideas for gifts and hampers, mixing the perfect cocktail for your guests and stocking up on those store cupboard essentials.
The book will be posted out to Booths Card holders, and is available to pick up in all Booths stores. Anyone can order a book from the 10 October by visiting www.booths.co.uk.
