For 170 years Boots has sought to bring the best of health and beauty to the high street and at 11am on Thursday June 27 it is opening its new format store in Covent Garden. Brand new Beauty and Wellness halls will introduce exciting new brands, innovative experiences and access to expert advice.
The new Beauty Hall will have over 300 brands including Fenty Beauty and Urban Decay, with advice on all the brands from the passionate and committed Boots Beauty Crew as well as Instagram points and two beauty studios. Covent Garden will also be home to Boots biggest ever wellness range, with 32 new brands including Beauty Kitchen and Equi. There will be a rehydration point for refilling water bottles and an Innocent bar for people to pick up snacks. In Pharmacy, there will be express pickup lanes, extra advice and consultation spaces and a warmer and friendlier waiting area with a great view over Covent Garden Market.
This new opening has also created 130 new jobs within the 28,524square foot store, and the first 200 customers will get a goody bag with amazing hero products from Josh Wood, Urban Decay, Bybi, No7, and many more. The first 100 will even get a free pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses.
There are lots of great experiences planned during launch week including yoga classes, hair colour consultations and makeovers. There will also be appearances from make-up artists and influencers such as Jordan Lipscombe, Anastasia Kingsnorth and Made in Chelsea’s Lucy Watson.
Finally, there will be no single use plastic bags used in the new store; they have been replaced with unbleached paper bags. This is a continuation of Boots journey to reduce plastic use across the business with expected usage down across the chain by over 1000 tonnes this year alone.
