Budweiser has announced that it is partnering with Tesco, continuing the strong relationship between the retailer and beer brand, to launch an e-commerce campaign in time for Christmas. Together, Budweiser and Tesco are launching an online purchase promotion supported by the well-known Budweiser Christmas jumper.
Consumers put themselves in the running to receive one of 1,500 Budweiser Christmas jumpers when they purchase a 20×300 or 18×440 pack of Budweiser to share at their next get together through the Tesco website. The online promotion will be running from the 23 November to 16 December 2015.
Budweiser is using its social media sites to promote the e-commerce campaign, with posts highlighting the benefits of drinking responsibly to the Budweiser fan base. The brand is using Twitter and Facebook to demonstrate the perks that come with enjoying Budweiser responsibly over the festive period, introducing #BudWiseMen as the creative concept across social media.
The #BudWiseMen will be seen wearing the Budweiser Christmas jumper, reinforcing the responsible drinking message and providing a visual link to the e-commerce campaign. The social media posts will also provide a direct link to the e-commerce activity on the Tesco website.
The e-commerce activity extends to webpage banners and online adverts, publicising the purchase promotion. The online adverts will appear across lifestyle and news sites, and will drive consumers directly to the Tesco webpage where they can purchase the packs of Budweiser. Webpage banners will appear across the Tesco site, back-linking to the Budweiser offer.
In addition to this, an email will be distributed to Budweiser fans inviting recipients to drink responsibly with Budweiser this Christmas, and provide a direct link to the promotional activity – taking readers to the webpage where they can buy the product for their guests when they host Christmas gatherings.
