The experts in men’s skincare are once again disrupting male grooming with the launch of their brand-new recycling scheme. The scheme, launched in partnership with First Mile, will allow all UK Bulldog consumers to send their used razor blades and white tubes back to be recycled into new tubes or recycled to energy.

Bulldog has launched the scheme to help consumers navigate the complex recycling environment and give them confidence that their used items will never end up in landfill, the ocean or being shipped abroad. Instead, those items sent back via the scheme, will either be turned back into new items or will be turned into renewable green energy.

Under the scheme, all tubes sent back will be turned back into brand new tubes. This is done via an innovative process called Microwave Pyrolysis which turns the plastic tubes into an oil. The oil is then refined and used to make new plastic pellets which can then be used to create brand new tubes. The best part is the whole process is carbon neutral as it powers itself. All blades sent back will be turned into renewable energy that is used to power homes and businesses at certified Energy from Waste facilities.

Caroline Mallet, general manager, Bulldog Skincare, said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for our consumers to recycle their Bulldog products in the most effective way. That’s why we have partnered with First Mile – the UK’s leading recycling and sustainability company. If consumers are ever confused or unsure of what to do with their Bulldog tubes or blades, they can simply send them back to us and we’ll do the rest.”

To return their used products, consumers simply need to post them to the dedicated freepost address (Freepost First Mile – Bulldog) and Bulldog and First Mile will take care of the rest. All costs, including postage, are covered by the brand. Full details on the scheme can be found online here.
