As part of its commitment to caring for the nation during the COVID-19 pandemic, Carex, the UK’s No.1 hand hygiene brand, announces the launch of its ‘buy one, donate one’ charity promotion and new range of antibacterial products to help people stay safe, particularly as they return to work and school.
Carex’s ‘buy one, donate one’ campaign will mean that for every Carex 250ml refill bottle purchased between the 2 September and 14 October, Carex will donate one 250ml bottle of hand wash to In Kind Direct and 10p to Macmillan Cancer Support. The promotion will run across participating UK stores including Tesco and Morrison’s.
The latest initiative further builds on Carex’s support for charities, key workers and vulnerable communities across the UK during the pandemic. To date, the company has donated over 500,000 bottles of Carex Hand Wash and Hand Sanitiser to charities and vulnerable groups, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Age UK, the NHS and thousands of charities via In Kind Direct.
Carex is also continuing the fight against COVID-19 by extending its antibacterial product range with the launch of new products available across the UK from September. The launch broadens the brand’s hygiene focus beyond just hands to wider applications featuring a “Hand & Surface Sanitiser spray”, “Antibacterial Body Wash”, “Antibacterial Bar Soap”, “Hand Cream + Antibac” and new varieties of their best-selling bigger pack 300ml Hand Gel. Importantly, and in line with WHO guidance, all Carex’s Hand Gels contain 70% alcohol to kill bacteria and viruses.
To support the drive to get ‘back in business’ our professional range of Carex antibacterial Hand Wash and Hand Sanitiser gels are now available to buy in bulk five litre and one litre packs. The products have been specially designed for businesses looking for a trusted high quality brand to protect employees and customers from the spread of bacteria and viruses. The launch of www.carexprofessional.co.uk is open to the general public wanting the convenience of a wide range of Carex products delivered direct to the door.
In addition, to emphasize the need for people to keep washing their hands regularly to fight Coronavirus, Carex will be launching “Carex Protects the Nation” advertising campaign throughout September and October across all formats including TV, display advertising and social media. The campaign is designed to encourage everyone across the nation to continue to practice good hand hygiene and to reassure consumers that they can trust the UK’s No.1 Brand for both care and protection when it matters most.
Neill Craigie, MD Europe – Carex, said: “Carex is committed to helping those in need during the pandemic and keeping people safe and healthy. Our “buy one, donate one” campaign means we can continue to provide essential support to our charity partners who have worked tirelessly throughout the crisis.
The new range of Carex antibacterial products will encourage people to broaden their hygiene regime beyond the essential need to wash their hands regularly, and help support a safe return to work and schools.”
