British shoe brand, Clarks, has appointed Nick Cullen, former chief operating officer of leading UK airport operator BAA, as group supply chain director.
Cullen will become a member of the company’s executive leadership team, reporting to Melissa Potter, chief executive.
In this newly created role, Clarks said Cullen will work to unify the supply chain organisation for the Clarks group, in order to deliver improved costs and customer service.
His appointment reinforces Clarks’ business strategy of leveraging the scale of the combined UK, North American and international businesses, the company said.
His background also includes senior roles in manufacturing and distribution with international organisations including Mars, Diageo, DHL and The Gap.
Potter said: “Nick brings to Clarks a proven track record of success in end-to-end supply chain operations and planning. We welcome Nick to Clarks and hope his appointment demonstrates our firm’s commitment to continuously improving the global service to Clarks’ consumers and our business partners.
“Nick’s experience of working with top tier brands on a global scale position him well to support Clarks in the next stage of our own strategic development.”
