This Christmas sees the first year eBay has offered a convenient new click and collect choice for the nation’s shoppers.
As technology becomes an increasingly important part of the way we shop, Click and Collect services, which allow people to shop online and then collect in store, are on the rise. 40% of UK shoppers used these services last Christmas] and even more are set to do so this year.
In fact, thousands of shoppers are choosing to Click and Collect at eBay, where 250,000 product lines from around 50 sellers are available to collect from stores nationwide.
Collection is available from hundreds of retail locations throughout the UK. Retailers with their own stores such as Sole Trader and Eurocarparts offer collection in their own store network. Selected sellers offer collection at 150 Argos stores in a trial of a new kind of Click and Collect.
Tanya Lawler, eBay’s vice president, UK said: “For consumers, the distinction between offline and online shopping continues to blur. eBay’s mission is connecting people with the things they need and love, and we’re committed to finding innovative new ways to do just that.”
As shoppers continue to use digital channels and demand a variety of convenient fulfilment methods for their orders, eBay is rising to this challenge. This service delivers what shoppers want: choice, convenience and speed – the opportunity to shop anytime, anywhere, on any device. Customers want to feel inspired by the product on offer; engage in the shopping experience; feel reassured that their transaction is secure and that their purchase will be delivered on time to a location convenient to them.
