Co-op launches new Cannock Store

Co-op has announced that there will be a new store opening in Cannock, Staffordshire. The store will be located on Longford Road and will open to serve the community today (Friday, 6 November).

The Co-op has revealed that it has invested more than £500,000 into opening its latest store, with 13 new jobs created locally.

The plans have included a car park for customers to easily visit the store. It also includes an in-store bakery and Costa coffee, alongside a focus on fresh, healthy produce, ready meals and pizzas, free-from and vegan products, Fairtrade, food-to-go and, everyday essentials, the core route of all Co-op stores.

Not only does it provide its groceries to customers who visit the store, it has also partnered with Deliveroo – with the service going live from the new Cannock store later this month making shopping for consumers easier than ever. Co-op is the most widely available supermarket on the Deliveroo App.

Liz Webb, Co-op area manager, revealed: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to make such a significant investment in Cannock. The store has a great look and feel, and we have worked to develop the range, choice, products and services locally that will create a really compelling offer to serve the community, conveniently.

“We are committed to connecting communities and making a difference locally, and operating at the heart of local life. That is why we also want customers to know that they can become a Member of their Co-op, and that they can make a difference to local causes every time they swipe their Membership card when buying own branded products.”
