Co-operative and Alesha Dixon raise money for Variety Club


The Co-operative Group has teamed up with Hallmark Cards to raise money for the 2010 Variety Club Gold Hearts Appeal Valentine’s Day.

Five pence from the sale of every Hallmark Valentine’s card sold in Co-operative stores will go directly to the Variety Club, the children’s charity.

In addition, the retailer is selling limited edition Gold Heart Badges, designed by the singer and TV personality Alesha Dixon and  ‘face’ of the 2010 Appeal.

The badges are currently on sale in more than 4,000 Co-operative Food, Pharmacy and Travel stores and Co-operative Bank branches throughout the UK.

The Variety Club raises money for sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people all over the country.

The Hallmark Valentine’s cards are available in all Co-operative stores throughout the UK. Prices start at £1.59.
