Leading confectionery giant Perfetti Van Melle (PVM) has welcomed Jonny Briscoe as its new UK managing director, heading up the British arm of the business from this month.
Home to leading global brands; Mentos, Fruittella, Smint and Chupa Chups, Jonny will oversee the company’s plans to accelerate growth across its portfolio with insight-led NPD and a £4million marketing spend throughout the year.
With over 14 years’ experience in FMCG, Jonny joins from Mondelez where he was managing director for Northern Europe leading on the chilled business brands including Philadelphia and Dairylea, after climbing rank from Category Planning Leader to Sales Director and his most recent directorate role.
Briscoe also held roles at Proctor & Gamble for nine years, from account manager rising to commercial director.
Predecessor Roel Nouws transfers over to the company’s Dutch team, taking on the role of global lead for sales and trade marketing.
Briscoe said: I’m delighted to be joining such a people focused and innovative business. It’s no secret the last year has been a challenge to the categories in which we play, and I am looking forward to leading the UK business back to the consistent high levels of growth seen prior to 2020.”
