Taste the exotic … Fairtrade chocolate bars from Peru

The Co-operative has expanded its Truly Irresistible Fairtrade chocolate bar range with a new selection of products made with Peruvian cocoa. Growers in Peru have provided cocoa for three new block bars of the premium own-brand Fairtrade chocolate – Creamy Milk, Dark Chocolate Hazelnut and Dark Chocolate and Cranberry. Peruvian cocoa beans have a characteristically powerful berry fruit flavour with a strong kick and a slightly bitter finish. The 100g bars make the perfect addition to the Christmas stocking or for a delicious gift at pocket-money prices, said the retailer. They are priced at £1.65 for a 100g bar.
