Profitero, the e-commerce analytics company that monitors what shoppers see and buy online, today announced the appointment of Daniel King to president and chief operating officer (COO), a new position within the company.

Effective immediately, King will oversee Profitero’s sales, client services, marketing and strategy & insights divisions, ensuring operational excellence across the company. King will also be responsible for Profitero’s global expansion as well as accelerating the rapid growth of its sales team across EMEA.

King has been with Profitero since its inception, initially as a board advisor and then as a non-executive board director, and he brings more than 15 years of experience within e-commerce, data insights, SaaS and analytics. He has extensive knowledge in investing in, advising, and scaling up high-growth companies, including helping them expand internationally. King has previously held CEO and managing director roles with a number of successful technology companies including Compete, MySupermarket and Experian Hitwise.
