Henkel has announced that Daniel Wilson has been appointed sales director for Laundry & Home Care UK & Ireland, reporting directly to Mark Tyers, general manager of Henkel Laundry & Home Care. The division has seen strong growth in the last year, sales have increased in excess of 18% and the team have also seen an improvement in market share, thanks primarily to the success of brands such as Bloo, Colour Catcher, Dylon and Jeyes.
Wilson, who took up his new position in September has been with Henkel since 2011, when he joined the Consumer Adhesives team as National Account Manager for Tesco & Sainsbury’s. He was promoted to the Head of Category Marketing in 2013 and became Sales Director in 2015.

During his leadership roles in Henkel Consumer Adhesives, Wilson was responsible for the successful trade launch of UniBond Aero 360 Moisture Absorbers which showed £10m category growth in four years; and steered the rollout of a new category management blueprint across Europe.
Wilson stated: “During my career at Henkel, I’ve witnessed the incredible success and transformation of the Laundry & Home Care business in the UK so I’m excited to join the team and to be involved in the next stage of their incredible journey. I’ve no doubt that the experience I have gained from working throughout my career, together with the exceptionally talented team already in place, will mean that the division will continue to prosper and grow.”
Henkel’s Laundry & Home Care division is the fastest growing player in its markets, gaining share and driving up category value. The team is excited to launch projects that will reinforce its role as a relatively new entrant to Laundry & Home Care with the ambition to drive value for customers.
