The tournament itself is building to a thrilling conclusion, and so too is Direct Golf UK’s huge World Cup giveaway – with more than £100,000 of vouchers due to be redeemed by customers.
Direct Golf’s ‘World Cup Loyalty Bonus’ ran from June 12 until June 30, and saw customers who spent more than £50 receive a free voucher – redeemable in-store and online until the World Cup final on 13 July 2014.
Customers spending £50 received a £5 voucher, while those spending more than £100, £200 or £500 received vouchers for £10, £25 and £50 respectively.
And last week, after a bumper month of sales, Direct Golf sent out vouchers totalling £100,000 to big-spending golfers across the UK.
Direct Golf stores across the UK were immediately inundated with customers redeeming the vouchers – and thousands more flocked to visit the Direct Golf website or to call the telesales department.
Golfers now have just a week to redeem the vouchers before they expire after the World Cup’s showpiece finale at the Estádio Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The vouchers can be used either to reduce the cost of a larger purchase, or on their own to purchase an item of equivalent value.
Direct Golf owner John Andrew, lsaid: “The World Cup has been a feast of football and it’s clearly got a lot of golfers’ juices flowing – our World Cup Loyalty Bonus has been a huge success.
“We’re thrilled that so many Direct Golf customers are going to benefit from the Bonus – and hopefully it will help cushion the blow of Roy and the boys flopping so spectacularly.
“England might have been woefully inconsistent, but here at Direct Golf, we pride ourselves on consistently offering unbeatable value on the very best golf equipment in the world.”
