Dunnet Bay Distillers, known for its multi-award-winning Rock Rose Gin and Holy Grass Vodka, is launching a Christmas advertising campaign in some of the major Scottish cities as well as in London.
The 30 second advertisement will run though Sky TV in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and London from 12 November until 15 December 2021.
The Sky TV campaign is anticipated to reach an audience of 29,000 households with 122,000 target impressions through AdSmart targeting people who are most likely to purchase gin online.
The advertisement, produced by SceneIt Media, showcases Rock Rose Gin, recently awarded an accolade by CoolBrands®, concentrating on the sense of place and the people behind the brands. All Dunnet Bay Distillery’s spirits are handmade on the premises at their state-of-the-art Distillery in Caithness at what is the UK mainland’s most northerly distillery. The business is family-owned and run.
The sense of place and provenance is vital to the success of the products. Two of these, Rock Rose and Holy Grass, are locally foraged botanicals which go into their creation and lend their names to the brands.
The film shows the company owners on the nearby beach, the distillery, and the gardener foraging and tending the home-grown botanicals that are used to create these unique coastal spirits.
To underline the authenticity of the company, the campaign does not use actors but is voiced by the husband-and-wife team who co-founded and run the business, Claire Murray and Martin Murray.
