Energy drink brand, Emerge, has announced the launch of a large-scale student sampling campaign, targeting more than 30,000 first year students across the UK during Freshers’ Week.

Emerge drinks, including brand new sugar free variant, Emerge Zero, will be placed in student starter packs on campuses from Cumbria to Cambridge. The Official Welcome Parcels, produced by youth sampling specialists, HelloU, will be placed on beds in first year accommodation to greet the arrival of Freshers at a number of universities from September.

Enabling the brand to outreach to its growing number of loyal student followers and encourage product trial among its core 16–24 year old target audience, the national campaign is designed to boost consumer awareness and promote the brand’s student-friendly price point.

Calli O’Brien, brand manager for Emerge, said: “Emerge is ideally suited for students, offering great value without compromising on taste. We’re delighted to be able to help first years settle into their new life on campus, providing an extra boost of energy as they get used to their new routines. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to reward loyal fans of the brand and also reach out to new consumers, by providing our popular energy drinks within student sampling boxes for the first time.”
