England cricket icons back natural sports drink, iPro Sport

Ali and Bopara back sports drink

Isotonic sports drink, iPro Sport, has enrolled world-renowned England cricketers Ravi Bopara and Moeen Ali as international brand ambassadors.

The collaboration follows a long line of professional partnerships for the brand across a number of sporting categories, this coincides with major expansion plans and distribution drive through retail listings.

iPro Sport, which comes in three flavour variants, is the only sports drink of its kind on the UK market containing all natural ingredients. Alongside the natural spring water based product are complex carbohydrates and added vitamins such as B6, B12 and C – part of the recommended nutritional daily intake. iPro Sport is proven to replenish the body with minerals which are lost through sweat when undertaking rigorous exercise.

Bopara plays for both Essex and England, breaking into the Essex side age 17. Bopara then broke into the England Test and One Day side in 2007. Ali has become an integral part of the Twenty20 International team and plays with England’s Test side and Worcestershire County. Ali is currently rated as England’s most valuable player (MVP), a system which rates player performance. He rose to prominence at a young age, having started playing professionally aged just 15.

Ali said: “The brand’s slogan is “Hydration at its natural best” and I couldn’t agree more. I am privileged to be working with such a great and honest brand which aids my sporting ability and rehydration process – particularly significant for the imminent World Cup with the climate challenges we face in Australia.”

Bopara said: “The role and partnership was an easy decision as the product speaks for itself. As sportsmen, we need the best support at all times to keep us at match fitness and iPro Sport offers this with its nutritional and all-round benefits.”

Lisa Marraffa, marketing director at iPro Sport, said: “We’re thrilled to have Ravi and Moeen on board with us. There is no better way of promoting our drinks’ benefits other than through the players themselves. It is fantastic to have the support from such highly respected professional sportsmen.”

Ravi and Moeen will support the brand at educational and sporting events and are heavily involved with outgoing marketing communications.
