Life water marks Diamond Jubilee
Ethical British bottled water company, Life water, has landed a deal to supply its limited edition bottles to Waitrose as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The bottles will be available at 170 stores nationwide from mid-April and will feature a specially designed portrait of Her Majesty.
The official portrait was created as part of a partnership with FaceBritain, the UK’s largest art project run by The Prince’s Foundation for Children & the Arts.
Proceeds from sales of the bottles will go towards drop4drop, a charity with a mission to help solve the world’s water crisis. Every bottle sold will provide up to 1,000 litres of clean water to a community in the developing world.
Started by Life water founders and eco-entrepreneurs Simon Konecki and Lucas White, drop4drop counts P Diddy, Cheryl Cole and Stephen Fry among its celebrity ambassadors following a successful campaign on World Water Day 2012.
Sourced and bottled locally at a certified organic source, and only available in the UK, the limited edition bottles will cost £1.99 for a pack of six.
“We’re delighted our limited edition bottles will be available at Waitrose,” said Konecki. “Not only will we be celebrating such a momentous occasion but we hope it will highlight our mission to provide clean drinking water to the world’s poorest communities and directly impact the work of our charity drop4drop.”
