ExaClair, the UK supplier of brands that include Rhodia, Europa, Guildhall and Clairefontaine has signed a new contract with WHSmith Travel that ensures premium space for its Rhodia and Europa brands.
Some 80 WHSmith Travel stores, located in train stations and airports, will now feature new one metre wide bays of Rhodia notebooks in larger format stores, one metre wide shelves in smaller stores and extended space for Europa Notemakers. In a further 20 of WHSmith Travel’s flagship stores, ExaClair will provide full-length spinner stands showcasing Rhodia’s full range of notebooks and pads. WHSmith Travel will also sell Europa products in 150 of its outlets.
Ben Carrington, stationery buyer at WHSmith Travel said the move to ExaClair’s Europa and Rhodia brands is a result of customer demand, ExaClair’s understanding and knowledge of the market place and their partnership approach to the project:
“There is a strong market for premium quality notebooks and pads where fashionable design doesn’t compromise the paper quality or added value features. We are looking forward to seeing how Rhodia and Europa meet these requirements.”
Mark Daisley, managing director at ExaClair, said Rhodia has expanded significantly over the past two years: “Rhodia is no longer just about its signature orange and black colours; we have successfully branched into elegant whites and silvers, as well as vibrant colours all available in a wide range of card and leatherette covers. We’re confident this exciting range featured on the new prominent stands will make an impression on WHSmith Travel customers,” he says.
“Europa products are brightly coloured and of a very high quality,” Daisley continues. “This has led to the brand having a loyal customer base that should further encourage sales.”
