New look Fruit Passion: appealing to children

Fairtrade fruit juice, Fruit Passion, is to relaunch after a decade on British shelves.

The juice brand which first appeared on shelves in 2000 is being relaunched to coincide with Fairtrade Fortnight.

The launch will focus on Fruit Passion’s two popular flavours – traditional fresh Orange and Apple. The juice is sourced from Fairtrade growers worldwide who are guaranteed a fair and stable living.

The new packaging is bold and colourful and is designed to appeal to children.

Marnie Millard, commercial director for Gerber Juice Company, which produces Fruit Passion, said: “We’re renewing our commitment to Fairtrade by relaunching Fruit Passion. This is just the start for the brand as during the year we plan to introduce a number of exciting new juices to the range.

“The colourful new designs reflect the diverse range of flavours we plan to bring to market this year. We want to remind people how important Fairtrade is to so many rural communities. Whilst one juice may appear similar to another, the difference we can make to fruit growers is remarkable.”

All Fruit Passion flavours are available from 3663 Foodservice in a variety of sizes, from 1-litre bottles down to 200ml on-the-go packs.

Fairtrade Fortnight takes place from 27 February to 11 March 2012. During the fortnight schools, supermarkets and government will be involved in a range of activities to promote the social benefits of Fairtrade produce.
