Burger restaurant Five Guys has said it will remain open for takeaway, delivery and click & collect orders through the new national lockdown in line with new government guidelines which allow restaurants to prepare food for takeout, collection or delivery.
For customers choosing to order via click & collect, they will be prompted to pay for their order prior to visiting their local store, where social distancing measures remain in place to ensure their safety and that of the crews.
Customers can still visit their local Five Guys restaurant to place their order at the counter, with enhanced health and safety measures in place to reflect the Government’s guidance which helps limit person-to-person contact. In addition, customers are encouraged to order alone to avoid large groups of people queuing at the counters, with contactless payments the preferred method.
A select number of stores will operate curbside, a personalised and precise-location food pick-up order service which removes the need for customers to leave their cars to collect their Five Guys takeaway. Introduced during the November lockdown, curbside uses proprietary location technologies to send timely customer arrival notifications to Five Guys Crew so orders can be prepared and brought to customers as soon as they arrive close to the restaurant. From the start of an order to completion, curbside supports the entire customer journey, providing a faster, easier order and pick-up experience.
