Gazeley, a leading global developer of warehouses for logistics, has secured four new deals for sites throughout mainland Europe for a number of leading manufacturers, retailers and third party logistics providers.
According to the company, the deals follow a record breaking performance during 2011, which saw the development and lease of over 7m sq ft of logistics space in 18 deals for multi-national clients including B&Q, Stanley Black and Decker, Tesco, Wal-Mart and Volkswagen.
New developments include:
- A 30,000sq m build to suit warehouse for food logistics service provider Rigterink in Jena, Germany. Specialists in food logistics, Rigterink will use the warehouse for storing, repackaging and distributing products for some of the world’s most recognised food brands. The site is located directly off the major east-west A4 motorway and close to the Hermsdorfer Kreuz, a crossing with the A9 north-south motorway
- A new build-to-suit 29,279sq m logistics warehouse in Cremona, Northern Italy for WalCor, a leading Italian chocolate manufacturer, delivered two months prior to the agreed completion date. The warehouse includes a 6.648sq m controlled temperature zone and was completed in only seven months. It is situated just 500m from WalCor’s existing production site enabling further improvements to the capacity of their existing manufacturing and logistics processes whilst at the same time saving on operational costs
