Leading UK audio brand, GEAR4, is launching licensed Angry Birds cases for iPhone and iPod touch in partnership with Rovio, creator of the hit game.
The range of products are available to buy at O2, Apple and HMV stores.
The quirky cases cost £24.99 and are available in three versions featuring different characters from the game. The cases are made from polycarbonate to shield devices from impact and damage and have a clip-on design to allow access to all ports and the camera hole.
Angry Birds became the top-selling paid application on Apple’s UK App Store in February 2010, and reached the top spot on the US App Store in the spring of 2010. Since release, the free, limited version of Angry Birds has been downloaded over 11m times, and the full-featured paid version has been downloaded nearly 7m times as of September 2010.
Tom Dudderidge, founder and CEO of GEAR4, said: “The success of the Angry Birds game has been phenomenal, developing a cult following among consumers. We’re delighted to help Rovio take their brand to the next level and offer fans of the game a stylish, yet practical product to help them protect their devices whilst also expressing their love of the game.
“The cases are available now and we’re expecting these to quickly become one of the most popular gifts this Christmas.”
