Ginsters, the UK’s number one savoury pastry brand, is delivering seasonal excitement for 2021 with its latest innovation: Ginsters Festive Chicken & Stuffing Slice (170g), RRP: £1.70.
Available nationwide from 18th October, the new limited-edition slice captures the spirit of Christmas with a twist on traditional flavours – bringing the brand’s signature mark of leadership and innovation to the savoury pastry category.
Ginsters’ new limited-edition Festive Chicken & Stuffing Slice combines quality British ingredients with 50 years of Cornish baking expertise to bring shoppers a warm and comforting taste of the season – without having to wait for the big day!
Made with 100% British chicken and smoked bacon, brought together in a creamy sauce with potato, sage and onion stuffing, the filling is wrapped in light puff pastry and topped with a crispy sage crumb.
The innovation will drive purchase through a unique flavour offering, promising consumers a quick and easy meal solution as they get excited for the holiday season.
As food and drink takes on a dominant role in the lead up to Christmas, savoury pastry peaks over this period for festive ranges. With 56% of consumers wanting to try something different, and limited-edition seasonal recipes proving hugely popular both in retail and out-of-home, the festive months provide the perfect opportunity for shoppers to indulge in what they enjoy.
Commenting on the launch Sam Mitchell, Ginsters Managing Director, said: “As a limited-edition innovation, our new Festive Chicken & Stuffing Slice taps into the excitement of the Christmas period, benefitting from a halo effect in-store when interest in the category is high.
“The top five flavours in savoury pastry have remained the same over the last five years, so by introducing seasonal flavours to the core range for a limited time only, we will drive frequency and pull on the impulsiveness of the category to drive engagement and conversion.
“We pride ourselves on playful, full flavoured and delicious recipes which banish the boring and capture the specialness of the time of year. This is THE taste of Christmas wrapped up (in pastry) by Ginsters.”
