Outdoor clothing and equipment retailer, GO Outdoors, is launching a mobile loyalty scheme in partnership with mobile marketing firm, Mobilize Systems.

It will enable GO Outdoors’ discount card holders with an iPhone to receive and redeem exclusive deals via their smart phone.

Claimed to be first smart phone-based loyalty scheme to be launched nationally in the UK, customers simply present their smart phone to the cashier at the point of sale. 

According to GO Outdoors, the mobile-based loyalty scheme brings enhancements for GO Outdoors and its customers. 

While customers can enjoy using their phone to earn and redeem rewards and offers at the point-of-sale, GO Outdoors benefits from increased customer engagement. 

In addition, with no need for plastic cards or paper vouchers the cost of operating the loyalty programme is reduced, said the retailer.
