Recipe box Gousto has joined forces with Marmite, adding some richness to the at-home dining experience with the UK’s most loved (or hated!) spread.
Created by the Gousto chefs, the seven new recipes will get foodies cooking with and tasting Marmite in new and wonderful ways.
Available to order from 27th October the range includes indulgent veggie recipes like the Marmite Teriyaki Popcorn Tofu and Marmite Mushroom Carbonara as well as Marmite Fried Chicken and Marmite & Peanut Butter Pork Udon. And the one thing they all have one thing in common? A big, gooey dollop of the umami good stuff.
The flavour-packed collaboration follows the successful Gousto partnership with Wagamama last year that enabled customers of the recipe box to cook their favourite Japanese restaurant dishes at home.
Kathryn Huxtable, food director at Gousto commented: “Now more than ever, our customers are looking for richer cooking and mealtime experiences and this partnership with Marmite will help provide just that. We’re making it easy for home cooks to master something a little different in the kitchen and we hope they’ll feel inspired by these new – and sometimes quirky – flavour combinations that are so delicious, they may even tempt the Marmite haters.”
Leading the market with over twice as many recipes as its nearest competitor, Gousto offers everything from ten minute meals, family classics and authentic world cuisines to their plant based range and exclusive Joe Wicks Lean in 15 recipes (Joe is a brand ambassador and investor in the business).
In recent months, the recipe box industry has come of age, with a renewed appreciation of home cooking. The brand’s business has been on an exciting upward trajectory and is expecting to report its first annual profit this year, as it plans to triple capacity by 2022 and hire an additional 1,000 people to help them get there.
Sophie Allan, brand manager at Marmite, commented: “By partnering with Gousto, we’re really laying down the gauntlet to all the haters out there and giving the lovers a chance to cook up a storm in their kitchens. These new recipes are bound to stir up dinner times. In particular the ultimate love/hate recipe: Marmite Pineapple Pizza.”
Gousto offers over 50 recipes a week, delivering precise ingredients and easy-to-follow recipe cards directly to doors across the UK. Prices start from £2.98 per meal including free delivery 7 days a week. For more information visit gousto.co.uk.
