Iconic Greater Manchester retail and leisure destination intu Trafford Centre has welcomed high-end accessories brand Coach, with the luxury retailer’s first standalone store in the north west.

Designed by Coach’s in-house team, the new 657sq ft store features a new modern luxury interior concept which includes leather furniture and bespoke fittings. The boutique offers a full range of both men’s and women’s leather goods.

Coach is the latest high-profile brand to choose intu Trafford Centre which already offers the widest choice of leisure and retailing in the north west. Luxury children’s designer clothing retailer Kids Cavern recently opened at the centre, stocking over 120 of the world’s biggest designer brands including Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, and Givenchy. Selfridges also completed a refurbishment of its accessories hall this year with new brands and services including Aspinal of London, The Restory, FROG and Astrid and Miyu.

Work is currently underway on the £75 million transformation of intu Trafford Centre’s Barton Square which will add another 110,000 sq ft of space to the popular retail and leisure destination.

Colin Flinn, regional managing director at intu, said: “Coach is the perfect addition to the centre’s unrivalled line up of retail and leisure. Nowhere else in the UK outside of London can draw on such a large and affluent population so we know Coach will thrive here.

“Our work at intu Trafford Centre is focused on helping all our customers flourish, and creating a destination with a ‘wow factor’ that will bring more brands and unique experiences to make our visitors smile. We’re investing millions of pounds to enhance the centre’s retail and leisure offering by transforming Barton Square and creating 110,000 sq ft of additional space for new brands.”

Coach has a long-standing reputation built on quality craftsmanship. Defined by a free-spirited, all-American attitude, the brand approaches design with a modern vision, reimagining luxury for today with an authenticity and innovation that is uniquely Coach. All over the world, the Coach name is synonymous with effortless New York style.

The transformation of intu Trafford Centre’s Barton Square will also add a new glass-domed roof and a fully redesigned interior under intu’s plans to expand and refresh that area of the centre. It will open in Spring 2020.
