Every Red Nose Day, the nation comes together to help those who need it most – with a rosy Red Nose, and a smile to match. This year, there’s a twist, because not only is there a Nose you can wear, but also one you can plant! Home and garden experts, Homebase couldn’t be prouder to be the exclusive in-store retailer of Comic Relief’s brand new, official The Red Nose That Grows.

The Red Nose That Grows is more than just a Nose, it’s a Wildflower Seedbom™ you plant to attract bees or butterflies. Designed and produced by Kabloom, The Red Nose that Grows is made with a starch and natural fibre-based PaperFoam® shell that is 100% compostable, and will biodegrade into the environment leaving only beautiful wildflowers behind. Whether you’re planting in your garden, on your balcony or a small window box, it’s super simple – you shake your Red Nose That Grows, soak it, plant it, and then watch as your Seedbom™ transforms into beautiful wildflowers.

Over the years the Red Nose has shown how even the smallest of things can make a huge difference. When you pick up The Red Nose That Grows, you’ll not only be helping the planet, but you’ll be part of something amazing, helping to change lives in the UK and around the world. All profits made from the sales of The Red Nose That Grows will go to Comic Relief, with every penny adding up to a life-changing difference.

Damian McGloughlin, Homebase CEO, said: “Our team have grown up watching Red Nose Day  and Homebase is proud to be able to help launch The Red Nose That Grows, playing a small part in a big pledge to fight for a better and brighter future for all.”

Samir Patel, CEO of Comic Relief, said: “Red Nose Day is all about coming together to raise some smiles – and some money – to help people through the toughest times of their lives and we want to say a big thank you to Homebase for being our official retail partner for The Red Nose That Grows.”

“Times are difficult for many, and it’s never been more important to remember how small acts can make a huge difference. The Red Nose that Grows is the perfect example of this as not only can you help the planet, but by purchasing this Nose your money will also be helping to change lives at a time when people are struggling more than ever.”

Now, the only question you’ll need to ask yourself is… are you #TeamBee or #TeamButterfly? With two Red Noses to choose from, one designed to attract bees and the other butterflies, Homebase asks you to pledge your allegiance by purchasing The Red Nose That Grows of choice! TV stars Jay Blades and Vicky Pattison have made their choice. What will you pick?
