Huel, world leaders in nutritionally complete food, has launched a new Hot & Savoury range of nutritionally complete warm instant-meals. Eager fans queued from 7am at a secret London launch to be the first to try Huel’s new food innovation, which builds on the brand’s successful sweet shake-based products. Each Hot & Savoury meal is ready in under five minutes and is made with delicious whole food and natural ingredients, including 24 grams of plant-based protein and all 26 essential vitamins and minerals.
The new concept is set to redefine quick and healthy lunches either at home or in the office. Launching in two delicious flavours, spicy Thai Green Curry and tasty Tomato & Herb, Huel Hot & Savoury provides a solution for those that want nutritious food that is easy to make and affordable. Each 100% vegan meal is bursting with flavour and costs around £2.36, which is great value considering it provides 100% complete nutrition – vital for good health during these testing times.
The launch was marked with a secret London launch where the brand’s loyal fans – ‘Hueligans’ – were first to learn about the new product. The product itself remained hushed and was only revealed on the morning of the event. Despite not knowing precisely what was to be unveiled, Huel’s most ardent fans travelled from far and wide to join the mystery launch and meet Huel’s founders. Among them was Anthony Osborn, a 43 year old data analyst who cycled from Cambridge to London to attend and Ryan Thompson, 26, a long time Hueligan who flew in from Copenhagen especially. Others came from as far as Swansea and Newcastle.
Huel’s food innovation comes as consumers are urged to eat better. Two-thirds of Brits are classed as overweight or obese, and research reveals that people with these conditions are more likely to become seriously ill from COVID-19. To add to this, a recent national survey from Huel found 49 percent of Brits admitted to putting on weight during lockdown due to overeating and making poor food choices. This demonstrates challenges when it comes to achieving a healthy, balanced diet.
Huel Hot & Savoury helps solve this problem as each serving is designed to give the body everything it needs, including the right nutrients and recommended calories that can be easily tailored to each customer’s needs. The new launch is the perfect alternative for those relying on convenient fast-food to avoid communal kitchen spaces as offices reopen, while also providing a healthy, easy choice for others remaining at home.
Huel Founder, Julian Hearn, commented: “Our goal is to make nutritious food more accessible and more appealing for everyone, and Huel Hot & Savoury achieves this. Designed for lunchtime, we’re providing our customers with more options to consume 100% complete nutrition without having to count calories and read food labels. Huel makes lunchtime easy as the nutrition has all been done for you. It’s made with nutrient-dense quality whole food ingredients, so it’s designed to keep you feeling full with all the good stuff you need to stay healthy.”
