A new contract with leading frozen-food retailer Iceland, sees St Peter’s popular Golden Ale rolled out to 264 stores nationwide.
1,200 cases of Golden Ale has already gone out to the national retailer, providing Suffolk-based St Peter’s Brewery with an opportunity to reach thousands of new potential customers and put the ale firmly on the map.
“This is an excellent contracts for St Peter’s and our Golden Ale,” says Steve Magnall, CEO at St Peter’s Brewery. “Iceland has stores all over the UK, and a broad spectrum of customers, so it will really raise the profile of our brand.”
Justin Addison, category manager at Iceland, said: “We are always looking to extend and develop our range of craft beers. Our customers appreciate quality British beers and we feel that St Peter’s Golden Ale will prove a popular choice.”
Since Steve took over the rein at St Peter’s Brewery 18 months ago, seeking out and establishing contact with large retail clients has been a priority and the effort is certainly starting to pay off.
“My aim is to put St Peter’s Brewery, and the fantastic range of beers we produce, back on the map. Contracts like these do just that. It’s a very exciting time for the business,” he adds.
