Scanning products specialist, Intermec, has launched a handheld bar code reader designed for small to medium-sized businesses.
Claimed to provide superior performance, the new SG10T imager uses imaging technology to read all common 1D bar codes with ease and is ideal for entry-level counter top reading needs, Intermec says.
According to the company, the reader will enable businesses to achieve greater accuracy and efficiency in tracking the storage, movement, accounting and sales of inventory and assets.
It is also said to be well-suited for a broad range of non-industrial environments, including retail point-of-sale, finance, medical, insurance, legal and government offices.
And, for immediate return on investment, the bar code imager is said to be easy to use and eliminates the need for training.

The SG10T has a list price of $140 (€108) and is available globally through Intermec’s distribution channels.
