Isotonic sports drink, iPro Sport, gains listing with Spar

Isotonic sports drink, iPro Sport, has achieved a wide-spread listing with AF Blakemore and its Spar outlets.

The AF Blakemore group has commenced listing of the iPro Sport Mixed Berry and Orange & Pineapple flavour formats into its 213 privately owned Sparstores, with all three varieties (the addition of Citrus Blend) available to an additional 655 franchised outlets through the AF Blakemore wholesale division.

iPro Sport is the only sports drink of its kind on the UK market containing all natural ingredients. Alongside the natural spring water based product are complex carbohydrates and added vitamins such as B6, B12 and C – part of the recommended nutritional daily intake. iPro Sport is proven to replenish the body with minerals which are lost through sweat with its benefits fuelling the rehydration process.

Geraint Hughes, trading manager at AF Blakemore, said: “We at AF Blakemore are excited about the launch of iPro Sport in our estate. This unique product sits in a growing market and we aim to maximise this, along with iPro Sport’s partnerships with various professional sports teams, in order to successfully introduce the brand to the masses.”

Commenting on the listing Lisa Marraffa, marketing director at iPro Sport, said: “We’re delighted at our recent achievements with iPro Sport and the listing with Spar comes as a key breakthrough in retail distribution for the brand. Our aim is to raise nationwide awareness of the drink’s benefits compared to other competitors on the market.

“iPro Sport truly is hydration at its natural best, so we are thrilled to be able to share the product further afield with the listing through Spar.”

iPro Sport has gained significant traction recently following numerous affiliations with sports clubs within the football, rugby, cricket and cycling sectors, as well as enrolling England cricketers Ravi Bopara and Moeen Ali as brand ambassadors. iPro Sport has also recently achieved a listing with Co-operative stores across central England.
