JAC Vapour moves from online to high street with opening of first vape store

JAC Vapour, a UK leader in vaping technology, is set to make the jump from online retailer to the high street as it opens the first brand owned vape store this weekend (20 December).

Vaping offers smokers an alternative to cigarettes and JAC Vapour has chosen the city of Leeds as the destination of its first store because of demand.

The store will officially open its doors on Saturday and offer the city’s smokers access to its product range and Vape Bar, where visitors will be welcomed by a vape advisor and provided with expert advice.

Robert Patrick, retail director of JAC Vapour, said: “We’re incredibly excited to open our first vape store. Many high street e-cigarette retailers are either brand sold franchises or independents, some of whom have limited knowledge of the industry. We didn’t want to follow in the footsteps of others because for us that’s not the most responsible thing for our customers or the industry.

“Instead our first high street store will be an extension of the reputation the brand has gained online. We offer superior quality products supported by the latest technology, unrivalled customer service and extensive vaping knowledge, only now with the added convenience of an on-street presence for the vapers.”

Vaping produces an experience similar to a traditional tobacco cigarette through the delivery of vaporised nicotine liquid, which is free of harmful toxins, tar and carcinogens., JAC Vapour said.

The number of people who use electronic cigarettes in the UK is reported to have tripled over the past two years to 2.1m with an estimated 50% of current or ex-smokers having tried vaping.

Patrick adds: “Our Leeds store is the first of five dedicated JAC Vapour stores that will be rolled out across the UK during 2015.”

JAC Vapour’s Leeds store will be located at 11 Boar Street in Leeds and from 20 December will be open from 10am until 6pm Monday to Saturday. For more information visit www.jacvapour.com
