Joules picks Micros merchandise planning to support multi-channel business

British clothing brand, Joules, has selected Micros retail merchandise planning solution to enable it to support its growing multi-channel business.

Micros said Joules identified a need for a merchandise planning solution that was easy to use and could consolidate all trading aspects of its multi-channel activity.

Joules selected Micros retail merchandise planning solution because of its ability to enable it to plan stock and sales across channel and season thus providing it with a holistic view of its business activity and enabling it to make swifter, informed decisions.

Micros said its retail merchandise planning enables the merchandise functions to access the system concurrently and work collaboratively. The system provides forward visibility of requirement by season and channel, allowing for lower level attribute planning such as product, style and colour.

Kara Groves, commercial director at Joules, said: “Choosing Micros was an easy decision for us to make. We felt their approach and understanding of what a fashion retailer needs from such a system was applicable to our needs. The opportunity to explore the system thoroughly before the implementation phase was invaluable. The tools the business will gain will enable us to be more agile in our planning and buying processes.”

Charlotte Kula-Przezwanski, global enterprise practice lead at Micros, said: “Joules is a fast growing retailer that will truly benefit from a solution that meets the needs of a multi-channel business. MICROS Retail Merchandise Planning uses best practice workflow to achieve the ideal product mix across the channels.”
