Karlie Kloss announced as the new face of Kurt Geiger

Kurt Geiger, a leading British footwear and accessories retailer, which in December was acquired by private equity group Cinven, has chosen Karlie Kloss as its face for spring summer 2016.

Perhaps best known for its signature heels, Kurt Geiger said it is placing increased emphasis on casualwear this season as the rise of the healthy lifestyle continues to infiltrate the fashion industry.

Kurt Geiger boasts a well-established line-up of celebrity advocates who choose to wear its handbags and shoes, helping drive its fame and popularity around the globe. Karlie herself has previously sported the Kurt Geiger brand.

Kloss said: “I loved being part of the Kurt Geiger spring summer campaign. I’ve always been a fan of this iconic brand not only for being a perfect red carpet look, but also, now, for every day running from the gym to work and everything in between! Rebecca’s [Rebecca Farrar-Hockley, Kurt Geiger creative director] vision for this collection brilliantly works for women who do it all.”

Most recently, the brand has picked up two new fans in the form of supermodels Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid – some of the world’s most talked about figures in 2015. Testament to the importance of these celebrity endorsements, the brand saw significant uplift in sales and Instagram engagement after Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner were seen wearing Kurt Geiger shoes and bags.
