Kewill MOVE platform delivers improved supply chain integration for Jigsaw Transport

Jigsaw, the UK’s leading provider of large-scale managed transport solutions, has successfully implemented a business to business integration solution from Kewill, the multimodal transportation management software specialist, to connect its network of hauliers, trading partners and contractors.

Kewill’s integration solution, part of the Kewill MOVE multimodal transportation management platform, is designed to reduce fulfillment and operating costs through faster, more accurate communications – strengthening trading partner relationships and improving supply chain collaboration.

Jigsaw’s operational model offers complete flexibility and scalability to fulfil the large scale distribution requirements of its customers, who include major manufacturers such as MARS, Barcardi Martini, Kimberly Clark, AB InBev, Kelloggs and Indesit Company. It is therefore essential that Jigsaw has full visibility and control over its transport network, which comprises 11 regional partner hauliers with a total of 38 depots nationwide operating over 3800 units and 4500 trailers, along with several hundred associate hauliers.

The company engaged with Kewill to deploy a single platform to self-manage interfaces and integration with its supply chain network. The Kewill solution, which is now live, enables the fast, straightforward set-up of new partners of all sizes and changes to existing partners directly by Jigsaw’s own team, enabling them to respond rapidly to customer and business requirements.

The project has also delivered significant benefits through straight-through processing of data, including lower costs, fewer errors and improved visibility of key operational information, resulting in improved customer service.

“The Kewill solution has enabled us to take control of managing our entire network,” said Andy Humpherson, managing director of Jigsaw. “Integration previously had to be managed by an external third party due to the complexity of handling multiple system requirements and message types, which introduced inevitable delays into the process and restricted our ability to react quickly – a key competitive advantage that we now have.”

Jan-Paul Boos, SVP EMEA at Kewill, said: “Kewill understands the fast-changing nature of supply chain businesses and the importance of being able to respond instantly to customer demands. The Kewill platform supports that by connecting Jigsaw’s partner network behind the scenes, providing complete supply chain visibility and enabling them to stay ahead of the competition.”
