Resident – the homeware leaders behind bed-in-a-box mattress brands Nectar Sleep & DreamCloud – is set to diversify and launch its new line of environmentally friendly bedding, Resident Home, this January.
Resident bed linens are made from the finest organic and natural materials, combined with considered design, trusted craftsmanship and conscious manufacturing to bring affordable, high-quality classics to your home.
The premium Resident Home bedding range (duvet covers, pillowcases, fitted sheets and flat sheets) comes in three different fabrics: crisp 100% Organic Cotton Percale – designed for a cool night sleep – luxuriously silky 100% Organic Cotton Sateen and 100% Washed Linen. The minimalist colour scheme is inspired by nature and includes pure white, soft grey, ocean blue and driftwood, transforming any bedroom into a cosy, yet classy, retreat.
Both plant fibres – organic cotton and organic linen – have been carefully selected with comfort in mind. They are naturally soft, durable and breathable; wicking moisture away from your skin to naturally control your body’s temperature and ensure a better night’s sleep.
And, playing to Resident’s focus on sustainable living, the organic cotton used is Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified meaning it is grown by ancestral farming methods without the use of chemicals found in pesticides, herbicides and GMOs, using 71% less water than conventional cotton.
The whole range – including organic linen – is also STANDARD 100 by OKEO-TEX certified which means that every part of the product is free from harmful chemicals and the people growing, and manufacturing the linens are not exposed to harmful substances.
Resident Home bedding is also packaged environmentally consciously. The plastic polybag is 100% recyclable and Brown Card is FSC certified (made from 80% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable.)
UK Resident managing director, Angela Crouch, comments: “Having launched our flagship brand Nectar Sleep here in the UK in 2018, we’re thrilled to be in a position to diversify and launch our Resident Home bedding range.
“We’ve worked hard to create products that are sophisticated yet durable, merging timeless design with the most comfortable, sustainable and premium materials. All with a great night’s sleep in mind.”
Resident Home bedding will be available to purchase from January 2021.
