LG Electronics has opened up the distribution of its new digital signage solution to its complete range of business-to-business re-sellers across the UK. The product was initially available exclusively through Middlesex-based AV trade distributor, Medium.
According to LG Electronics, the digital signage is targeted at a broad range of retailers – in particular independent retailers and smaller businesses – and is designed to help them stand out from the competition.
It is operated in-store from a PC server, with the monitor usually positioned inside shop-front displays or strategically in-store.
LG Electronics research shows small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) comprise the largest proportion (31%) of the European digital signage market. It also reveals SMEs are seeking the same quality and reliability from displays as larger operators but at lower costs. They also want solutions which do not require specialist knowledge to operate.
Warren Lewis, sales director, LG Electronics, said: “SuperSign is not only a powerful and affordable digital signage solution, it is easy to use. And because all the elements within LG SuperSign are optimised to work together, it is simple for a services provider to install or for a reseller to deliver.
“Making SuperSign available to our full spectrum of UK re-sellers underlines the strength of our commitment to the channel,” said Lewis. “It is an exciting, innovative, new product with far-reaching appeal particularly to small, commercial operations requiring simple, affordable but powerful digital display tools. And it represents a great opportunity for business partners to build customer loyalty and, at the same time, tap into incremental revenue streams.
“In today’s economy, the challenges faced by SMEs are enormous and they frequently rely on support and solutions from smaller re-sellers who understand their needs,” said Lewis. “We are confident that SuperSign will offer re-sellers and their customers a complete, cost-effective, yet impactful digital signage solution that drives competitive edge.”
