Love Stories Intimates has chosen 14 Hanbury Street in London’s Spitalfields as the location for its first UK store.
Originally from Amsterdam, the opening further cements the strength of the lingerie market in the UK alongside the continued expansion of Victoria’s Secret.
Formed by the same operators as Amsterdam-based upscale clothing brand Scotch and Soda, Love Stories opened its first luxury boutique in 2014 in the heart of the city’s famous shopping district. The collection is also sold in boutiques and department stores in 28 different countries including Australia, Italy, Spain and Denmark.
Sahar Rezazadeh, chartered surveyor, Central London Retail at CBRE, said: “Love Stories Intimates has gone from strength to strength since its original boutique opening, and the decision to buy the lease for this Spitalfields unit is a sign of the growing lingerie market in the UK and in London. The opening will provide the perfect springboard for the brand as it launches its first UK base.”
CBRE assigned the lease for the 577sq ft unit on behalf of Bloom Perfumery Limited.
