Grosvenor Europe has announced that independent lifestyle and fashion brand, Oliver Bonas, is to open the brand’s first Liverpool store on Liverpool ONE’s upper South John Street, as newly-released figures highlight the destination’s strong year-to-date performance.
The brand’s 2,956sq ft store will offer its unique and ethically-conscious range of stylish homewares, fashion collections and gifts, and joins the recently upsized Pull&Bear on upper South John Street, adjacent to John Lewis. Designed by an in-house team, Oliver Bonas’s Liverpool ONE store will be the brand’s first in the Liverpool City Region, joining its 70 stores across the UK. The store will open this autumn.
Coinciding with the signing of Oliver Bonas, Grosvenor Europe has revealed:
- Liverpool ONE has seen a 4.6% increase in spend per visitor in 2019
- Sales have grown by 3% at the leading mixed-use destination compared to the overall UK average of 0.7% for 2019.
- 25 brands have signed, opened or renewed their leases at Liverpool ONE since the beginning of the year.
Commenting on the new store, an Oliver Bonas spokesperson said: “It has been our long-held goal to expand our retail footprint to Liverpool, where we believe our curated collections and eclectic designs will prove a hit. Liverpool ONE has a great reputation and a unique appeal with consumers from across the region. We will also be in great company amongst a host of other leading brands, making Liverpool ONE the ideal location to launch in the area.”
Alison Clegg, Director, asset management, Grosvenor Europe, added: “As one of the leading fashion and lifestyle brands in the UK, we are delighted to welcome Oliver Bonas, alongside the 25 renowned brands that have also committed to Liverpool ONE to date this year. The brand’s strategic selection of Liverpool ONE, alongside these other openings and significant lease renewals, highlights Liverpool ONE’s status as one the UK’s leading retail and leisure-led mixed-used destinations.”
The signing follows a series of Liverpool ONE’s recent announcements, including the upsizing of Pull&Bear on upper South John Street, the upcoming launch of a North West flagship for global beauty brand Too Faced, and the signing of luxury jewellers ROX for a 1,600sq ft boutique on Peter’s Lane.
