UK food and drink logistics firm, Culina, has announced two senior appointments as part of its ongoing strategy to build a strong leadership to drive business development and growth.
Steve Winwood is appointed to the new role of chief operating officer of Culina Group with responsibility for the chilled and ambient divisions across all warehousing and transport functions.
Winwood previously held the role of commercial director and has been with Culina since 2008, having been a director of Baylis before it was acquired by Culina. In this new role Winwood will report to Thomas van Mourik, Culina Group CEO.
Dave Lowe is appointed to the role of commercial director. Lowe has been with Culina for five years, most recently as group commercial manager. In this new role he will have responsibility for developing Culina’s customer-facing team to add value and enhance services.
“These appointments strengthen our executive team and create an integrated and strategic leadership across our operations to ensure we maintain our market leading services levels and continue to provide the benchmark for food and drink logistics across the UK and Ireland,” said van Mourik.
“Steve and Dave have contributed greatly to our recent successes and their extensive experience in the industry will help drive Culina to the next level.”
